My research concerns a nuclear technoscientific controversy about Tummalapalle Uranium Mine and Mill (TUMM) involving inadequate lining over the tailing pond where milling waste are deposited. I first visited MC Palle and Kottala, closest villages to TUMM’s tailing pond in 2021 for my doctoral dissertation fieldwork. With almost every other family facing spontaneous abortions, hysterectomy, dermatitis, since the residents first took note of contamination in 2016/2017, I have been involved in researching with woman, farmers and more-than-human in the villages.
